Coming back to a place I used to call home…

After the few days well spent in Vegas, it was time to hit the road again. So we headed towards Southern California, exactly to San Diego, a place that I particularly cherish.

San Diego is kind of special in many ways. Not only because I had the chance to live there for a while. But it embodies the Cali-vibe, in a “human-size” city. Well L.A. is great too, but it is an assembly on many (smaller) cities (Santa Monica, Downtown, Beverly Hills, etc.). One of the common mistake that many tourists make is, that they want to see L.A. in 2 or 3 days, which is impossible. Traffic jam, huge commuting time, etc.

San Diego is smaller, well still huge for any Europeans, but boasts access to nature/state parks, beaches, deserts, shopping facilities, beaches, etc.

So I definitely recommend you to add this to your bucket lists, should you ever make your way to Cali.

As for me, after 4 years, it was good to be back in town to catch up and to see my Cali friends.
