Part III: Los Angeles and Pacific One
After a week in San Diego, it was time for us to leave for another adventure. Even if I would have stayed longer (it’s hard to get bored in SD, mainly because this city offers everything one can wish for) the next part of the trip was pretty nice too! On the 3rd of Jan, we headed north to LA where we spent one night in Santa Monica.
Even if I’m not a big fan of LA (too big for a Swiss maybe), I was thrilled to spend this time in Santa Monica. It is a pretty cool location, which allows to get around easily. A must do is the Getty Center, overhanging Beverly Hills, probably one of the best spot to in LA.
4th of Jan, early morning. We head up north to Monterey, where we were supposed to spend the night (actually we did).
Back in 2008, I drove on the PCH 1, from SFO to SD, around the same period. I had the same excitement this time, because the PCH is probably one if not the best highway in the US.
